Lens Core Machining

  • Flat Surface

    A flat surface of a circular disc finished to a mirror surface with a diamond tool. It achieves uniform flatness and nanometer-level surface roughness, used for optical flats and reference surfaces.

  • Spherical Surface

    A core with a precision-machined spherical surface on top of a cylindrical blank. Convex or concave spheres of a single radius are realized with high precision; used for general optical lenses and lighting components.

  • Aspherical Surface

    A core machined with an aspheric profile whose curvature changes from center to edge, unlike a sphere. It minimizes aberrations and is used in high-performance optics such as cameras and medical devices.

  • Toric

    An asymmetric curved core with two different radii of curvature. The X and Y directions are machined with different curvatures; used for astigmatism-correcting contact lenses and special optical components.

  • Fly Eye (Lens Array)

    A structure of micro lenses machined in a uniform grid array on a flat surface. Its uniform light-distribution characteristics make it suitable for display backlights and projector optics.

  • Freeform Surface Lens

    A large circular core machined with complex 3D freeform surfaces that cannot be defined by standard equations. Multi-axis control realizes asymmetric, composite geometries impossible with conventional methods, applied to high-performance optics such as head-up displays (HUD) and specialty lighting.
